ABOUT

Personal Statement
Simon is a multi-instrumentalist who has pursued his academic career while continuing to work as a professional musician. He has played in signed and un-signed bands and as a session musician for the last 20 years, playing drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, trombone and saxophone.

Among the artists he has performed and recorded with are Longpigs, Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Jarvis Cocker, Ceryss Matthews, I Monster, Richard Hawley, Babybird, Florence and the Machine, and Reverend and the Makers.

He is an active songwriter/composer, and has published writing credits with the Longpigs, Joe Strummer, Florence and the Machine and with Jarvis Cocker. He currently plays drums in an originals bands in Sheffield, Black Cat White Cat, and plays trombone and synth with Liverpool based heavy psych-rock band, The Bonnaconns of Doom.
