ABOUT

Personal Statement
I have led the provision and development of pancreatic and hepatobiliary hospital services nationally and internationally for three decades and accept personal tertiary referrals from all authorised primary and secondary care sources. My research addresses basic, translational and clinical challenges of acute and chronic pancreatitis, currently funded by the National Institute for Health Research, Medical Research Council, Innovative Medicines Initiative (European Union) and Industry. I serve on national and international committees in the field, am co-author of national and international guidelines and have contributed to the faculty and organisation of many national and international symposia and conferences. I maintain a continuing commitment to undergraduate curriculum development, postgraduate training and external examining in basic biomedical science, clinical science and clinical practice.
