ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am a veterinary surgeon and epidemiologist interested in the interplay between livestock and public health with research interests in antimicrobial resistance, one health and policy. I have conducted mixed-method research into antimicrobial prescribing practices in UK pig production. I have also worked with the UK government antimicrobial resistance team at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate and the pig levy board in the area of antimicrobial resistance and disease surveillance. My current research is a Food and Agricultural Organisation funded study developing a framework to document antimicrobial use, assess the economics of antimicrobial use and review farmer perceptions on antimicrobial resistance in low and middle income countries in South East Asia.
