Personal Statement
I work with Prof Yao-Chun Shen in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Dr Yalin Zheng for the EPSRC GCRF project (EP/R014094/1). My expertise is in Fourier Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Time Domain Full Field OCT and Compressive Imaging. I have also previously worked in China Academy of Space Technology as an algorithm designer in the field of remote sensing satellite. My research interest has revolved around developing high-performance and cost-effective OCT techniques for ophthalmic applications, as well as exploring promising applications in other areas such as characterization of pharmaceutical film coatings, and evaluation of soil removal from cotton fabric for detergent industry.

Research Overview
Funded by the EPSRC GCRF grant (EP/R014094/1), we are developing an innovative research camera, named as “SortDR camera”, which combines Colour Fundus Photography and Optical Coherence Tomograph, specifically for imaging the retina of the eye in low-resource settings.
