Personal Statement
I have a background in nursing, having qualified in January 1982 as a SRN. My career spanned several specialities, most recently I retired from being a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist. I currently am employed in supporting/facilitating the Communication for Clinical Practice (CfCP) programme within the School of Medicine for 4th year Student Doctors.

Research Overview
I undertook a qualitative research project exploring the 'lived experience' of palliative care patients in a hospital setting 2015/2016.
A paper was published in BMC Palliative Care 06/07/2018.
