Personal Statement
I joined the University Of Liverpool in 1988 as a research technician for the Department of Zoology helping with lab based research and fieldwork. In 1989 I moved to teaching where I remained until the restructuring of the School of Life Sciences in 2012 when I joined IIB as the Senior Technician for Lab E. In 2017 I became the Research Laboratory Supervisor for Labs E & F in the Biosciences Building, Fly lab and Insectaries, responsible for two core funded technicians and eight research funded technicians supporting twenty academics in the departments of Evolution Ecology Behaviour and Functional and Comparative Genomics.
