ABOUT

Personal Statement
I joined the University of Liverpool in 2017. I am currently the Athena SWAN Lead and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Wellbeing co-Lead for the Institute of Population Health (Departments of (1) Health Data Science, (2) Psychology, (3) Public Health Policy & Systems, (4) Primary Care & Mental Health, and (5) Health Sciences). I hold doctorates in both Psychology and Education and conduct discipline specific and pedagogic research. Departmental roles include Quality Lead and Module Coordinator for the Year 3 Media Psychology Module.

 

Research Overview
I conduct both discipline specific and pedagogic research, with approximately 100 peer reviewed journal articles published to date. Psychological research interests include coercion and harassment, especially in relation to personality and individual differences. Pedagogic research focuses on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion practice and policy. Recent publications include the single authored book, Disability in Higher Education: Investigating identity, stigma, and disclosure amongst academics, published by the Open University Press in 2022.
