Personal Statement
David heads the orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine and imaging service in the Equine Hospital. His main area of interest is orthopaedic surgery, lameness and imaging - ultrasound and CT. His most recent research involves investigating contrast enhanced ultrasound. He has also published work in the fields of joint surgery, ultrasound guided-injections and synovial sepsis.

David qualified from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2003, before working as a vet in New York and running his own practice in Ireland. David completed a European Equine Surgery Residency programme at UCD, Ireland before successfully passing the ECVS examination in February 2017.

David moved to the UK in June 2016 and he worked for a year as the surgeon in the Devon and Gloucestershire before settling in the Equine Hospital, Leahurst.
