Personal Statement
I am a human geographer whose research examines culture, identity, and space across the Caribbean, Central America, and the American Heartland. My work focuses on how people understand place, belonging, and community in everyday life. I use qualitative methods that are creative and participatory, including interviews, mapping, visual approaches, and community-based inquiry.
