Personal Statement
Matt is a Lecturer in Operations Management and is Director of Studies for MSc Project Management on-campus and online. Matt has a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management, with his research being focussed on the market value effects of new product introduction delays for focal companies and suppliers. He holds a masters degree in programme and project management with distinction and a first class business management bachelors degree with honours. Matt is also a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA). Additionally, he has industry experience of being a finance analyst on a large IT programme.

Matt has several years teaching experience at both postgraduate and undergraduate level on a wide range of modules and has won an award for his teaching practice. He has presented his research at international conferences, including EurOMA, POMS and BAM MKE. He is interested in empirical research in the area of operations and supply chain management and also pedagogy. In particular, Matt is experienced with quantitative data analysis and has a keen interest in working with secondary data. Matt has been involved in a number of research projects on modern slavery and the sustainability of food supply chains, contributing to publications in top journals and policy documents.
