ABOUT

Personal Statement
I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Liverpool in 2021. Clinically, I have predominantly worked in secondary care adult mental health services and secure services across the North West of England. I joined the university in 2022 as a University Clinical Teacher on the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology programme, and continue to work for the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist part-time in a community mental health service. I also work as a Research Trial Therapist as part of an ongoing project at the University of Manchester. My broad interests are around social justice issues and the socio-political contexts of mental health and mental health services.

Research Overview
My primary research interests are around 1) identity development, particularly minoritised identities, and the impact of stigma and discrimination on identity development, mental health and wellbeing, and 2) cultural adaptations to existing therapy models and the development of new culturally responsive therapies.
