Personal Statement
I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics at the University of Liverpool Management School and Director of Studies for our BSc. Economics Programme. I work in higher education since 2015. I am Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2025.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Industrial Organisation, Behavioural Economics and Experimental Economics. In my research, I focus on credence goods markets, online ratings, and crowdfunding. I am also interested in Economics Education, in particular experiential learning through new technologies, self efficacy, widening participation and feedback literacy.

I gained my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics from the Technical University of Berlin (Germany). I hold a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of Liverpool funded by the Economic Social and Research Council.

 

Research Overview
My research interests are primarily focused in the intersection of Industrial Organisation, Behavioural Economics and Experimental Economics. I am particularly interested in markets for credence goods, online ratings and crowdfunding. I am also researching in economics pedagogy especially experiential learning through new technologies, self efficacy, widening participation and feedback literacy.
