Personal Statement
I am an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teacher in the English Language Centre. My teaching work includes discipline-specific EAP classes to compliment modules across campus, credit-bearing EAP modules, pre-sessional English classes to prepare UG/PG students for their future programmes, 'taster' modules delivered by the International Summer School, and KnowHow academic skills classes.

My academic interests include:
• Pedagogy and best practice
• The implications of technological developments (such as AI) on teaching and learning
• Getting young people to read in the age of the screen
• How languages are learned
• Translanguaging
• The lexical approach to teaching
