Personal Statement
I completed my PhD at the University of Liverpool under the supervision of Dr John Smalley, focusing on understanding mechanisms of heam acquisition and black pigment formation in bacterial periodontal pathogens. I am currently working as a Tenure Track Fellow (TTF) in the Biochemistry department at the University of Liverpool, investigating various aspects of cell signalling and in particular mechanisms of eukaryote and prokaryote protein kinase and pseudokinase regulation.
