ABOUT

Personal Statement
My main interest is in magnetic geochronology at a variety of times scales- from archaeological to geological. Current interests are in the Antropocene, Pliocene/Miocene, Triassic, Carboniferous, Devonian and Silurian. Areas of research interest are the arctic, Europe, North Africa, Canada and China. I have also focused on sediment tracing from source to sink studies both in the marine and terrestrial aquatic environments, interpreting magnetic proxies for understanding environmental change in sediment and soil records, and sediment micro and macrofabric for environmental interpretation.

I was the chair of the Subcommission on Triassic Stratigraphy (of the International Commission on Stratigraphy) until 2021 and am also involved in collaborative international efforts of the boundary task forces for the Triassic and Jurassic
