ABOUT

Personal Statement
I was trained as a geographer and am now researching on health inequalities. My interests and understanding of health inequalities have grown further during my current post in the Department of Public Health, Policy and Systems, where I am actively involved in multiple research projects on COVID-19 responses and gastrointestinal (GI) infections. In my recent work, I have focused on using natural experiments to evaluate the impact of local and national socio-economic and public health policies upon health inequalities; a niche area in the intersection of Human Geography and Public Health. I am currently leading a fellowship researching the impact of autism diagnosis on children's health and education outcomes using ECHILD, funded by Administrative Data Research UK (ES/Z502431/1).
