ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am a Chair in Strategy and Organisation (part-time) at the University of Liverpool Management School.
I am also a Professor of Corporate Communication and Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

My research focuses on processes of innovation, entrepreneurship and change. I also have a general interest in questions of scientific reasoning and theory development in management and organization theory.

I am the Editor-in-Chief of Organization Theory, and a former Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Review (2014-2017) and a former General Editor of the Journal of Management Studies (2006-2012).

Research Overview
My research focuses on processes of strategising and change combining theoretical work with qualitative methods. I often collaborate with entrepreneurs and managers from various organizations (including regional development agencies, larger corporations and NGOs, and start-ups) as part of my research to enhance the value and relevance of my work. I am currently conducting a multi-year research project on corporate purpose and sustainability, and would be interested in further collaboration with partners in the Liverpool city region and the UK more broadly.
