Personal Statement
Mae is currently working as an Anatomy Demonstrator in the Human Anatomy Anatomy Resource Centre (HARC). She joined HARC in October 2020 as a graduate intern, before being appointed an anatomy demonstrator role in June 2021. Prior to this, Mae graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019 with a BSc in Anatomy and Human Biology, before she went on to complete an MSc in Forensic Anthropology at Liverpool John Moores University. Mae is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Mae is involved with the teaching of human anatomy within the HARC to students from a range of degree programmes including Medicine, Dentistry, Life Sciences and Health Sciences. Mae is also the lead anatomy demonstrator for first year medicine.
Research Overview
Alongside teaching in HARC, Mae is also studying for a part-time PhD at Liverpool John Moores University where she is investigating and analysing specific anthropological and biocultural features in affected migrant populations to aid in forensic investigation of unidentified individuals.
