Personal Statement
I am a Post Doctoral Research Associate with interests in clinical and forensic psychology.

I finished my BA in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford in 2018, after which I undertook a Masters of Research in Psychology, which I completed in 2019. Since completing my Masters I have worked as an Assistant Psychologist for a Consultant Clinical & Forensic Psychologist in the field of Family Law and Adoption Support.

I joined the University of Liverpool in October 2020 as a Research Assistant working with Dr Steven Gillespie on an ESRC funded research project. In October 2022, I began an NWSSDTP funded PhD with the University of Liverpool investigating differences in autonomic emotional responding in individuals with convictions for violent offences.

Research Overview
I am interested in researching the characteristics of sexual offenders and users of child sexual exploitation material. I am currently involved in research aimed at identifying the cognitive and affective factors involved in contact versus online sexual offending. I am also particularly interested in empathy research; for example, I am interested in how people convicted of violent and sexual offences differ in their ability to empathise with others.
