Personal Statement
Annarita Magliacane lectures in TESOL and Applied Linguistics at the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom). Prior to this appointment, she was Research Fellow at the University of Naples L'Orientale (Italy) and she also lectured in Applied Linguistics at University College Cork (Ireland) and Aston University (United Kingdom). Annarita holds a PhD in Human Mind and Gender Studies - curriculum Language, Linguistics and English for Special Purposes from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from University College Cork (Ireland).

Research Overview
Her main research interests lie in Second Language Acquisition, Second Language Pragmatics, Instructional Pragmatics, Conversation Analysis, International Mobility, Language Variation and Corpus Pragmatics.
