ABOUT
Personal Statement
I am an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine, working with Professor Benedict Michael’s Brain Infection & Inflammation Group.
My research focuses on neurological infectious diseases and global health. I have worked on volumetric seizure prediction modelling in encephalitis, as well as emerging zoonotic brain infections including scrub typhus and Nipah virus.
I also have an interest in healthcare provision for displaced populations, having worked in Kutapalong refugee camp, Bangladesh, examining gaps in healthcare delivery for forcibly displaced Mynanmar nationals (Rohingya) communities.
I graduated from the University of Cambridge, completing my Part II in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.
