Personal Statement
Armin is a lecturer in structural engineering with expertise in performance evaluation of existing infrastructure under harsh environmental conditions. His research combines both experimental and numerical methods to investigate the effects of corrosion and long-term degradation on structural systems. He is also involved in probabilistic risk assessments of exisitng structures, particularly under natural hazard-triggered technological (NaTech) events. By integrating advanced modelling techniques with laboratory testing, Armin aims to develop resilient and sustainable design solutions that enhance reliability and extend the service life of critical infrastructure.
