ABOUT

Personal Statement
Pablo Sabucedo, PhD, CPsychol, AFHEA, is an EuroPsy-certified psychologist specialising in psychotherapy. He has practised clinically in several countries and lectured at universities in the UK and Spain. He currently teaches at the University of Liverpool and the Open University of Catalonia. His research focuses on the relationship between culture, mental health, and psychotherapy, with a particular emphasis on psychedelic and hallucinatory experiences.

Research Overview
My main research interest is the overlap of psychotherapy and two interrelated human experiences: the hallucinatory experience and the psychedelic experience. I have conducted cross-cultural research on sensory experiences of the deceased during grief. Additionally, I have been focused on psychedelic-assisted grief therapies, with an emphasis on acceptance and commitment therapy as a therapeutic modality. I have primarily relied on qualitative research methods and clinical case studies.
