Personal Statement
I recently joined Dr Hannah Vineer’s research group at the University of Liverpool as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in modelling drug resistance management in livestock systems. The group is based in the Department of Infection Biology & Microbiomes.

I am working on the BBSRC-funded project 'Sustainable Control of Parasites in Ewes'. My research involves developing and adapting mathematical models of parasite population dynamics and drug resistance to evaluate sustainable parasite-control strategies in UK sheep. In particular, I investigate how alternative control strategies affect drug resistance, animal health and environmental outcomes, and how variable weather and climate change may influence the sustainable use of veterinary medicines.

The work combines mathematical modelling with empirical data from field and laboratory studies. Its broader aim is to produce evidence-based recommendations for veterinarians, policymakers and other stakeholders responding to emerging veterinary parasitic disease threats.

Previously, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computation for Conservation with Dr Jenny Hodgson on the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship project 'Robust Conservation for a Dynamic World'. My research focused on developing computational and Bayesian methods for spatial conservation planning, with particular emphasis on species dispersal and population dynamics under climate change.

I also completed my PhD and held a Postdoctoral Research Associate position under the supervision of Professor Kieran Sharkey in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, where I developed mathematical models of complex biological and social systems.
