ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am an evolutionary geneticist with a broad interest in adaptation and ecology. The focus of my current research is the genetic basis of host-parasite interactions. In my studies I use trypanosomatid parasites and Drosophila as a model for understanding the important aspects of insect immunology and host-parasite co-evolution.

Keywords: #Drosophila, parasites, trypanosomatids, host-parasite interactions, gene editing, CRISPR-Cas9, RNAi, transcriptomics, RNAseq, genomics, diversity, adaptation, diapause, courtship behaviour.
