ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am a Lecturer in Strategic Management at the University of Liverpool Management School, United Kingdom. I obtained a PhD in Economics, specializing in Organization Theory, from USI Lugano (Switzerland) and held postdoctoral fellowships at the Institute for Analytical Sociology (Linköping University, Sweden), Institute for Futures Studies (Stockholm, Sweden) and the Chair of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Utrecht University School of Economics (the Netherlands).

I pursue research questions on strategic human capital and teach topics on strategy. As an early career scholar, I have obtained fellowships and grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation (Switzerland), Handelsbanken Research Foundation (Sweden), Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (Sweden) and IOS (Institutions for Open Society) Hub at Utrecht University (The Netherlands). My research has been published in Organization Science (FT50/ABS4*), Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (FT50/ABS4*), Journal of Business Venturing (FT50/ABS4*), Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (FT50/ABS4), and Advances in Strategic Management (ABS2). I also perform ad hoc reviews for several FT50-ranked journals (https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/record/K-9182-2019).

Before commencing my academic career, I worked in the banking sector as a credit risk analyst.

Research Overview
My research focuses on inclusive people strategies in organizational and entrepreneurial contexts. I study how organizations and entrepreneurs utilize human capital to meet their goals and under which conditions it may generate or attenuate inequalities.

Some key questions I explore include:
1. How do organizations handle employee mobility across firms to sustain high performance?
2. How are strategic human capital practices related to employee entrepreneurship?
3. In what ways do strategic human capital practices contribute to or reduce social and economic inequalities?
4. What are the strategic and social implications of pay inequality within organizations?
5. What are the risks and benefits of intrapreneurship to firms' overall human capital strategy?

My past and ongoing research have drawn on both historical and contemporary labour market data from Sweden, the Netherlands, India and the United States to pursue these questions.
