ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am an occupational therapist and educator with experience across clinical practice, service management and higher education. My background includes work in neurological rehabilitation, oncology, acute services and discharge planning, as well as involvement in project work and service development.

I have completed a range of academic and professional qualifications, including an MBA and a PG Certificate in Academic Practice, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. My ongoing training reflects interests in clinical skills, assessment, manual handling, peer review and professional development.

Since moving into higher education, I have taken on teaching, clinical skills training, academic advising and research supervision. I teach using a mixture of lectures, simulation and practical teaching, and I regularly review and develop learning resources. Feedback from students and peers has highlighted clarity of communication, structured planning and supportive engagement.

My work continues to focus on supporting student learning, contributing to professional education and drawing on my clinical background to inform teaching and curriculum activity.
