ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am a Marine Ecology lecturer with a profound passion for fisheries and fish ecology, I have a diverse skill set that aligns perfectly with ecological sciences. My focus lies in utilising cutting-edge technology to study fisheries and fish in their natural environments, and I am particularly interested in seeking affordable solutions to explore and understand marine habitats, including the deep sea. Through my research and academic journey, I am committed to making contributions to the sustainable management and conservation of our marine resources.

Research Overview
With a strong foundation in fisheries management and marine conservation, my experience extends to various aspects of environmental management. I have led impactful fish conservation and research initiatives, while also driving the standardisation of data collection methods across Western Indian Ocean nations. Notably, my work has provided useful information for the fisheries policies in Eastern African countries, reflecting my dedication to both research and policy development.
