Personal Statement
Dr. Grigorios Kasapidis is a Lecturer in the Operations and Supply Chain Management group at the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS). He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Computational Mechanics (with distinction) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

His research specialises in the design and application of advanced meta-heuristic, math-heuristic and mathematical programming techniques to solve complex combinatorial optimisation problems. His interdisciplinary approach combines constraint programming, mathematical modelling, and state-of-the-art evolutionary algorithms to address real-world challenges in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain systems. He has contributed to several HORIZON2020-funded research projects and maintains active collaborations with industry partners to develop innovative, data-driven solutions. His research interests include how machine learning and high-performance computing technologies (e.g. GPU computing), can be leveraged to enhance algorithmic efficiency and scalability.

Dedicated to both research and teaching, Dr. Kasapidis delivers undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Data Analytics, Optimisation, and Artificial Intelligence. His teaching emphasises the practical application of emerging digital technologies, enabling students to build robust analytical skills and develop impactful digital solutions in rapidly evolving business environments. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Production and Operations Management and the European Journal of Operational Research.
