Personal Statement
I am a Lecturer/St Paul's Eye Research Foundation Tenure Track Fellow in the genetics and molecular biology of ocular disease. My lab aims to understand the molecular mechanisms that are derailed in inherited and age-related ocular disease. Using an interdisciplinary approach, I am interested in determining the mechanisms that link the shape and polarity of the retinal pigment epithelium to its mechanics, biochemical signalling, and function to identify novel therapeutic targeting approaches to treat ocular disease.
