Personal Statement
Dr Haopeng Wang is appointed as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Structural Engineering Materials at the University of Liverpool. He is leading the Transport Infrastructure Group within the department. He graduated from the School of Transportation at Southeast University, obtaining his BEng and MSc degrees in 2013 and 2016, respectively. He received his PhD degree from Delft University of Technology in September 2021. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellow (sponsored by the EU’s Horizon 2020) at the University of Nottingham. Dr Wang is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) and a Chartered Engineer. He has been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists in 2023, 2024 and 2025 released by Stanford University in the field of Logistics & Transportation, Building & Construction.
