Personal Statement
Rachel is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool, where she joined in March 2024 to work on the Pufferfish Inflation Project with Dr Ariel Camp.

Rachel completed her PhD in 2024 at the University of Leeds, investigating high-precision wing, body, and leg kinematics in a range of insect species (e.g., mosquitoes and killer flies) under the supervision of Dr Simon Walker and Dr Graham Askew. Prior to this, she earned an MSci in Bioveterinary Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College. Her final-year project examined mouse muscle mechanics, supervised by Prof. Jim Usherwood and Dr Timothy West.
