Personal Statement
Dr. Huynh Nguyen received the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia in 2022. He is currently a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Informatics, University of Liverpool (UoL), United Kingdom. Before joining UoL, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London, United Kingdom. His research interests include cybersecurity, mobile computing, 5G/6G, IoT, and machine learning. He has received several awards and grants from NVIDIA, Google, and IEEE ComSoc, including NVIDIA Academic Grant, Google PhD Fellowship, IEEE WCL Exemplary Reviewer, and IEEE GLOBECOM and IEEE ICC Travel Grants. He has co-organised various IEEE conferences in communications and networking (e.g., IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, and IEEE FNWF) as TPC member and co-chair. He is currently an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications, and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (IEEE TMC) and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (IEEE TVT). He was a guest editor of IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (IEEE TCCN).
