Professor Musa Bashir is the Chair of Maritime Engineering and Director of Postgraduate Research (PGR) Studies. His research focuses on renewable energy systems, offshore structures and integrity management, with a particular emphasis on design, modelling, and the application of AI-driven solutions to optimise maritime operations and enable predictive maintenance. Professor Bashir brings decades of industry experience in delivering marine and offshore engineering solutions to his academic work.
