Personal Statement
Vahid Saadi is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the Management School of the University of Liverpool (ULMS). Dr. Saadi holds a PhD in Finance from Goethe University in Frankfurt. His research is in empirical banking with a focus on bank lending standards, both in the corporate as well as the real estate sector. Dr. Saadi's articles have contributed to debates on the causes and consequences of the 2008 financial crisis as well as to the research on the intersection of trade policy and banking. Some of his articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Banking and Finance.
