Personal Statement
I am a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Liverpool and a current Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) Fellow. I am broadly interested in ageing, with a specific focus on mental health, neurodivergence, and dementia. I completed my PhD in the Psychology Department at the University of Sussex, funded by an ESRC studentship (2016-2019). After completing my PhD, I moved to University College London (UCL) to work as a postdoctoral researcher in the Clinical Psychology department on a grant funded by the Alzheimer’s Society (2019-2022). I was then awarded a competitive fellowship from ARUK (2022-2025), and joined the Department of Psychology at Liverpool in July 2024.

Research Overview
I have a broad interest in Health Psychology with a lifespan focus, and more specifically in ageing research. My research uses data from a wide range of sources, including England-wide NHS electronic health records, the British birth cohorts, ELSA, Whitehall II, Memento and the UK Biobank. I have an interest in the application of a range of statistical methods, such as meta-analyses, missing data analyses, longitudinal modelling (e.g., growth mixture models, cross-lagged panel models, linear mixed models), and causal inference methods (e.g., Mendelian Randomisation).
