Personal Statement
I work on Standard Model phenomenology within Monte Carlo event generators, making precise predictions for particle collider experiments.
My focus is on QED radiative corrections, mostly using methods inspired by QCD parton showers. I am an author and developer of the event generator Sherpa.

 

Research Overview
My main research focus is on automated methods for QED radiation. This includes the YFS resummation, which makes use of the abelian nature of QED to resum soft singularities to all orders, and can be used in an event generator to produce multiple low-energy photons. I have extended this method to allow the produced photons to split into light charged particles in the leading logarithmic approximation. I have also developed a QED parton shower inspired by QCD collinear-factorisation showers. I have also extended the shower to NLO accuracy using a version of the MC@NLO method.
