Personal Statement
Saddaf is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Public Health, Policy & Systems at the University of Liverpool, affiliated with the Health Inequalities Policy Research (HIP-R) team. She works with Dr Brendon Collins, Dr Eduard Shantsila, and Dr Adam Noble. She is currently working on two projects:

1. NIHR based project on "Telehealth to Reduce Compound Pressures on the NHS and Social Care" supported by the Department of Health and Social Care (GOV.UK).
2. A multi-method PRoject to maximise efficient and equitable pathways tO suPport from a rEgional epiLepsy centre (PROPEL) supported by ANGELINI PHARMA UK-I LIMITED

Her academic interests lie at the intersection of social demography, inclusive ageing, healthy ageing, social epidemiology, public health policy, gender and ethnic disparities, pension inclusivity, migration and broader social policy frameworks. Her current projects involve working within the secure data environments (SDE) of Mersey Care and the Walton Centre, Liverpool.

Prior to joining the University of Liverpool, she held a Research Fellow position at the Centre for Research on Ageing at the University of Southampton, contributing to the ESRC-funded ‘Inclusive Ageing’ project under the mentorship of Professor Athina Vlachantoni. Additionally, she served as a Visiting Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Spitzer Department of Social Work at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, where she collaborated with Professor Yonatan (Jon) Anson and Professor Talia Schwartz-Tayri on social epidemiology, longevity, and social policy.
