Personal Statement
Charlotte Burgar is part of the Forensic, Investigative and Conflict Psychology research group at the University of Liverpool. She completed her BSc in Psychology and MSc in Forensic and Investigative Psychology (BPS accredited Stage 1 Forensic Psychology) at the same institution and is now undertaking her PhD in investigative decision making in law enforcement and homicide staging behaviours.

Charlotte is also a Doctoral Academic Teacher and teaches research methods and statistics to first year undergraduate students. She is an Academic Advisor to first, second, and third year students.

 

Research Overview
Charlotte's main research consists of police investigative decision-making and offender behaviour and characteristics, particularly in violent crime and homicide. Charlotte is also interested in criminal behavioural profiling and factors that contribute to motivation and intent.
