Personal Statement
I'm an oceanographer interested in large-scale interactions between physical, biogeochemical and ecological systems, as well as the ocean's role in Earth's climate. I use a hierarchy of numerical models along with observation-based datasets to better understand what shapes oceanic conditions and how those conditions change over time. My current focus is on multi-century timescale variability in the biological carbon pump, as part of the UKRI Predicting Biological Carbon in the Ocean Globally (PRECOG) project .
