Personal Statement
Dr Polly Hernandez is a researcher in criminal evidence whose work explores evidential relevance, judicial decision-making and the operation of the law of evidence in the criminal courts. Her research draws on doctrinal, theoretical and empirical methods, reflecting a broader interest in socio-legal approaches to criminal justice. Polly completed her PhD at the University of Birmingham, is an Associate Fellow of Advance HE, and has published research in the Criminal Law Review and other peer-reviewed outlets.
