Personal Statement
Rosalind joined the School of Law and Social Justice as Lecturer in Law in August 2026. Rosalind's research interests are primarily in early-modern English legal history, particularly the classical and natural law foundations of common law theory. Her current research examines the influence of classical scholarship and natural law theory on the legal thought of Sir Edward Coke and his contemporaries.

Rosalind holds a PhD in Law from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge (2021–2026), and an LLM (First Class) from Trinity College, University of Cambridge (2020–2021). She also holds a Juris Doctor from UNSW Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Classics from the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle. Before returning to academia, Rosalind practised as a government solicitor in New South Wales, Australia, at the NSW Crown Solicitor's Office, and served as Tipstaff (Judicial Research Assistant) to the Honourable Justice John Basten at the New South Wales Court of Appeal. Her research has been published in Brill's Legal History Library Series, and in several leading Australian law journals.
