Personal Statement
Chris is a Senior lecturer in School of Medicine at the University of Liverpool. He is a psychologist and prior to his current role worked as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Chris is the academic lead for MBChB (medicine) Year 1 Communication for Clinical Practice and is also the Year 1 Assessment Lead for the School of Medicine. In addition to his teaching commitments, Chris is research-active, with interests in mental health, learning and academic performance, and clinical communication.

 

Research Overview
I have three primary research interests: (1) mental health, (2) learning and academic performance, and (3) clinical communication. I have published articles in all three of these areas. I am also interested in the interaction between these areas, for example how test anxiety can impact test and academic performance.
