Personal Statement
After a formal career in Liverpool, latterly as Reader in French Historical Studies, Kay Chadwick is now an Honorary Research Fellow in French Historical Studies. She specialises in Second-World-War studies. In recent years, she has been working on a major project on the history of radio and wartime propaganda in France, which has received funding from the British Academy and the AHRC. Her latest publication (2020) analyses the post-war pathway of Paul Creyssel, the ‘forgotten’ voice of Vichy. She is currently finalising an edition of the radio broadcasts of Paul Creyssel and Philippe Henriot, delivered in 1942 and 1943, which complements her earlier edition of the 1944 broadcasts delivered by Henriot. This is under contract to Liverpool University Press.
