Personal Statement
I am Danushka Bollegala, Professor at the Department of Computer Science, The University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. Before joining UoL, I was a lecturer at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tokyo, Japan (2010-2013). I am also an Amazon Scholar working for Amazon Search.
I lead the Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Research Groups at the University of Liverpool.

I am amazed by the human's ability to understand and process languages and interested in developing algorithms to teach similar skills to machines. I have collaborated with colleagues in various fields such as medical, legal, and social sciences in the university.
