Personal Statement
I am a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Endodontology at the School of Dentistry and Hon. Consultant in Endodontics at Liverpool University Dental Hospital. Director of the Doctorate in Dental Science (DDSc) in Endodontics, the School's speciality training programme in endodontics, which the European Society of Endodontology accredits.
I have completed my speciality training and Doctorate in Dental Science at the University of Liverpool, and holds the Membership in Endodontics (MEndo) and Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS) of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I am a registered specialist in Endodontics with the General Dental Council.
My clinical work centres on the management of complex endodontic referrals, including non-surgical retreatment, surgical endodontics and microsurgery, and dental trauma.
I have also lead quality improvement within the hospital's endodontic service
Beyond the University, I am an Examiner for the MEndo at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh,
and Endodontics Specialist List assessor for the General Dental Council, and a member of the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology.

Research Overview
My research interests span clinical endodontics and dental education.
I have experience of NIHR-funded multicentre randomised controlled, and supervises doctoral research projects across endodontics.
