Personal Statement
I joined the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme team in October 2011 having previously worked as Clinical Director for Lancaster University’s DClinPsy programme. Much of my earlier career was spent working as a clinical psychologist in the NHS in the North of England with adults with intellectual disabilities - particularly those with challenging or complex needs. I have also had a concurrent interest in training others and involvement in pre and post-qualification training for clinical psychologists. I was the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology's Programme Director from February 2016 to December 2022. I now work 0.2fte for the university supervising DClin and PhD research and continue as the university's Schwartz Rounds Lead.
