ABOUT

Personal Statement
My research is focused on the development of novel tissue engineering and regenerative medicine strategies for the repair of the eye in disease and disorder. I am interested in studying ocular cells in their native niche to determine the important features of their interactions with neighbouring cells and the microenvironment. A thorough understanding of this will help us to develop optimal culture environments to expand cells, functional biomaterials for cell delivery, creation of biomimetic tissues and in vitro models of ocular disease.
