ABOUT

Personal Statement
I enjoy teaching very much and have a keen interest in supporting students to learn medicines in order to build confidence and competence in preparation for practice. The University has applied a unique approach to learning via the design of drug trees which have been designed in collaboration with practice partners.

I have a keen interest in clinical skills and simulation and run a simulation week for year 2 nursing each year.

My other interests include dementia care and care of the older person.

Research Overview
Applied for ethics to complete a small scale Student study to explore their confidence in medicines knowledge and safety following drug recognition tuition and assessment (funding applied for and granted for this study)

Completed the Ethics in Practice and Integrity Modules (Course) in order to lead the research study along with fellow University colleagues and practice staff.
