Personal Statement
Jose A. Lopez-Sanchez (Tony) holds a Personal Chair and is Director of the MicroBioRefinery in the Chemistry Department. His research is dedicated to Catalysis for Sustainability with a strong focus in biomass and CO2 transformations with chemo, bio- and photocatalysis and nanotechnologies. He has written over 70 papers, 8 patents and secured over £5M as principal investigator in research funding dedicated to biomass transformations. He is also academic leader in Sustainability in the new Materials Innovation Factory
